LEXIC Language Solutions is a company that provides comprehensive language services to international businesses and organizations that need to market or promote their products or services in markets other than their own.

Since Lexic was founded in 2003, the year we were awarded a prize for best business initiative, right up to today, our motivation has remained the same: helping our clients with their communication needs. Lexic is ISO 17100 certified, the specific European standard for translation services. We submit all projects to a standardized process that guarantees we deliver on the quality objectives we have set and which can be summarized in these 5 steps:

Step 1 – Prior analysis to assign the optimal resources to each project

Step 2 – Translation by a specialist with proven experience in each subject

Step 3 – Once the translation is done, proofreading by a second translator who is an expert in the area

Step 4 – Format editing, handled by our DTP department

Step 5 – Quality control performed by the project manager assigned to each project

The project manager organizes and oversees each project from start to finish, plans the delivery dates and checks that the project meets the set quality requirements. We work as the single point of contact for everything the client needs.

We have a network of over 2,000 highly qualified native translators and proofreaders who are responsible for checking that translated documents comply with national and international standards and regulations. Our team members all meet the following requirements:

Always translate into their mother tongue.
Have a minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in medical or technical translation.
Have passed a test based on the SAE J2450 translation quality metric to prove their technical and language skills, are experienced in the field of specialisation and have the necessary knowledge of regulatory requirements.

Once each text is translated, a second translator, also a native-speaker and subject expert, checks the meaning, style and language to ensure the translation is error-free.

To check and edit the different formats in which a text can reach us, we have a team of graphic designers, layout artists and editors with extensive experience in all types of printed and digital publications.

At Lexic we work with the most advanced computer-aided translation (CAT) tools in the market, such as SDL Trados, WordFast and others.

This work methodology ensures::

Enhanced linguistic consistency, thanks to translation memories which collect all the texts that have been previously translated on a particular subject in a specific language combination.
Greater flexibility in delivery times, as we can draw on texts that have been previously translated on the same topic.
Cost reduction, as using translation memories means there are fewer new words to translate because CAT tools detect repetitions and use them again.

These tools promote quality, flexibility and competitiveness for the client’s benefit.
